Gamma Pi Chapter
University of Maryland - Baltimore County
When I first joined Phi Sigma Sigma, I found myself surrounded by a supportive, encouraging, and ambitious group of women. My sisters accepted my differences for they had their own, motivated me in all aspects, and truly cared about my wellbeing. I was also inspired to focus on my academics and become more involved.
I started to see myself in a different light and appreciate the opportunities I was given. To me, being a Phi Sigma Sigma means that I am part of something bigger than me that pushes me to be the best version of myself.
I graduated from UMBC in May 2016 summa cum laude and I’m currently a J.D. candidate at the Maryland School of Law. As an Phi Sigma Sigma Alumni, I’m proud to be part of an organization that never ceases to support its members and encourages them to aim higher. I hope one day I will be able to help and support other sisters achieve their goals. I’m forever grateful for this amazing opportunity.
